The metered fare option allows taxi companies to override their pricing by allowing drivers to enter the total fare at the end of the trip. If this option is enabled, drivers will automatically be prompted on their app to enter the fare amount when they complete a trip. The meter total will be set as the "Subtotal" for the trip. Any additional surcharges, tax, tip, and fees can still be applied in addition to this amount.

Note: Drivers must be using a version of the EverTransit Driver app that is v2.13.0 or newer for iOS, or v2.14.0 or newer for Android.
